The Fall Semester is Gearing Up!! PDF Print E-mail

Brothers,

The school year has just begun and we are in full swing getting ready for Rush.  As we are approaching the end of the summer months, we are very excited about the fall semester and what it holds for our chapter.  With one of the largest freshmen classes in GSW history, there are a lot of good guys coming to school this fall.  We are looking forward to getting to know these young men better and identifying the individuals that are most worthy.  Rush will begin on September 2nd and run through September 5th with Bid Day following on the 6th.

We are also proud to announce that the chapter was awarded the McComas Scholars Award this summer.  The award recognizes chapters that have set the example for leadership and scholarship and awarded the chapter with a free registration for the Balfour Leadership Training Workshop that took place in August.  This award is a great recognition for Eta Theta and we are very proud to have received it.

Also, we are in the process of making it possible to formally initiate two of the original Sigma Delta Epsilon’s who missed the installation of Eta Theta by the Sigma Chi Fraternity in 1970.  Brothers Larry Sechler and Tom Lyon have both been recommended by many of our alumni and we are looking forward to initiating two founding brothers of the chapter into the brotherhood this fall.

We have many other plans in the works for this coming semester and we are looking forward to all of them.  As always, we appreciate your support, but we are always looking for more!  Please contact either me or Chapter Advisor Stephen Moreno if you have interest in helping the chapter out in any way this semester.

In Hoc,

Justin Smith
