Summer is always a saddening time for our chapter. Brothers part ways, seniors graduate, and the "normal" routine of the school year comes to an end. However, the summer break is much needed and much appreciated by the Eta Theta chapter. The summer gives us all time to rest, and to reflect on the importance of the brotherhood that we share. We all look foreward to the upcoming semester and are very excited about Fall Recruitment. Attention all alumni! GSW is hosting its annual Greek Reunion April 24th and April 25th. Friday April 24th there will be a Welcome event at the Windsor Hotel on the Vernanda from 6:00pm to 7:00pm, and all Sigma Chi Alum are encouraged to come back to the fraternity house afterward and socialize. The events on Saturday the 25th are as follows: 8:30am- Golf at Griffin Bell Golf and Conference Center (contact Tracy Law to register at 229-942-2105, cost is $25), 12:00pm- Lunch at the GSW Soccer field followed by Flag Football, 6:00pm- Cocktails in the GSW Intramural Gym followed by Dinner at 7:00pm. 9:00pm-12:00am- Momentum in Concert in the GSW Storm Dome. *Note: The Windsor Hotel and The Quality Inn are providing GSW Greek Alumni with discounted rates.* Please visit www.gsw.edu/alumni/ReunionEvents to sign up. Derby Days is finally here! The dates for Derby are April 6th-April 10th. The theme for the week is Derby Decades. Sunday will be the ZTA/KD House Wars. Monday is 50's Night, and the theme for the party is Grease. Tuesday, we are bringing back the days of Woodstock with SIGSTOCK 2009. Everyone should dress up like hippys. The KDs/ZTAs will be competing in the Strip-A-Sig relay race. Wednesday night we are hosting Sigma Chi Animal House. The movie Animal House will be playing on the projector screen and everyone dress up in TOGAS!!! Wednesday night is also the brother auction, so come out and support our guys and help raise money for charity. Thursday at 7:00pm will be the KD/ZTA Wiffleball Game in the front yard of the fraternity house. Thursday is also our infamous 80's party. Everyone dress up in your throwback 80's attire and come ready to dance and have a great time. Friday night we are having Breathing Amber back by popular demand to put on another amazing show, so everyone come out and support the band. The show starts at 10:00pm and tickets will be on sale at the door. *$4 for Guys and $2 for girls* REMEMBER ALL PROCEEDS OF THE WEEK ARE DONATED TO OUR PHILANTHROPY, THE CHILDREN'S MIRACLE NETWORK!!! Other than Thursday and Friday, all events and partys begin at 9:00pm. Come support the Children's Miracle Network, The Sigma Chi Fraternity, the KDs and ZTAs, and have a great time in the process.
